AC Milan will try until the end of the window to get a new central defender but they might settle for welcoming a player in the summer provided he is the right man.
Calciomercato.com reports that during the discussions in the last few hours, a clear line has emerged from the Milan managements: a defensive reinforcement will arrive, but not at all costs.
The idea is to sign a quality player on loan in order to postpone any more complete evaluation until the end of the season. Alessandro Buongiorno of Torino has faded as a target, so four candidates remain.
Lilian Brassier of Brest represents the only profile for whom Milan would be ready to make an investment right away. His candidacy remains at stake even if there is a distance between the offer and the demand.
Geoffrey Moncada would like Clement Lenglet but there are complications linked to the fact he is on loan at Aston Villa from Barcelona and he earns quite a high salary, with time running out. Trevoh Chalobah was mentioned, but seems unlikely now.
Arsenal’s Kiwior has the characteristics that Milan are looking for in the role of central defender. Moncada and D’Ottavio are aiming for a loan with option to buy and are waiting for signs from London.
Tosin Adarabioyo also plays in the English capital but for Fulham, and have been contacts between his brother-agent and Milan who are evaluating whether to secure him ahead of June (when his deal expires) or make an offer to get him now.
Milan will not buy any of those.

In next season new valuations are necessary. Do we need Kjaer anymore? Gabbia and Simic could be sent on loan, and new arrival, similar to name Botman would be nice for this team.
D’Ottavio, Moncada and Furlani are a bunch of incompetent fools. They enjoy making fools of themselves …. wanting six players for the same position and then finally getting no one!!!! I am sick of them and of their stupid antics.
