CM.it: Milan and Juventus want Fiorentina star but sale to be delayed – West Ham made €30m bid

AC Milan are interested in a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic but it seems a January pursuit will be difficult, a report claims.

Milenkovic might be the centre-back that the Rossoneri have been most frequently linked with over the past few months as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara look to bolster the options available to head coach Stefano Pioli having failed to do so in the summer.

According to Calciomercato.it, Milenkovic is one of the most coveted defenders in Italy as the Serbian is in fact still very much admired by Milan, Inter, Juventus and abroad in the Premier League.

Fiorentina, however, do not want to sell star players in January while their position in the table remains fragile and only two months ago the fans have had to digest the sale of Federico Chiesa to Juventus.

The expected exit is therefore postponed until next summer when, inevitably, the price of the Serbian plant will collapse due to his very close contractual deadline (2022).

In the summer window, Fiorentina refused an offer of €25m plus €5m in bonuses from West Ham, with the player having already said yes to the Hammers but it was too close to the deadline.
