AC Milan are interested in a move for Hellas Verona midfielder Mattia Zaccagni, a report claims, but they face competition from Lazio.

The 25-year-old has two goals and two assists in 10 Serie A appearances so far this season and he has become a key component of Ivan Juric’s side.

According to Calciomercato.it, the top sides in Serie A are beginning to take notice of Zaccagni’s development which has seen him become a complete player and very dangerous in possession.

His name has already begun to circulate on the market, where Lazio seem to be among the most interested clubs. Their sporting director Igli Tare would like to be able to beat the competition, but is aware that an asking price of at least €20million has been set.

The report adds how Milan seem to be among the teams that could attempt an assault too, as it would improve the depth available to Stefano Pioli and give him another weapon in his arsenal.
