CM.it: No offer from Milan for Man Utd defender despite rumours of €17m bid but talks are planned

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not yet made an official offer to Manchester United for Diogo Dalot but they are planning talks over his future, a report claims.

Milan are impressed thus far and would like to keep him, per The Sun, and the paper claimed they have already opened talks with Man Utd to discuss a permanent transfer, willing to offer €17m plus bonuses for the 21-year-old.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.it, there has been no official offer presented by Milan to Manchester United for the former Porto man. The desire of the management is to continue the adventure with Dalot, who is highly appreciated by the leadership, but the parties will update in the coming weeks to discuss a possible purchase of the player.

Dalot does have a contract until 30 June 2023 at Old Trafford which means there is no rush to resolve his future, therefore for now the situation is on hold for a while.

We asked Fabrizio Romano on our podcast if there is a possibility Milan will keep Dalot beyond the end of the season, and he revealed his admiration for the player plus his belief that discussions will indeed take place between the hierarchy of both clubs.
