CM: Jovic could ‘pay the price’ despite renewal as Milan eye another striker – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

With Alvaro Morata all set to arrive and links with other strikers doing the rounds, Luka Jovic must be watching on with intrigue.

According to Calciomercato.com, Giorgio Furlani is ready to fly to Madrid on Wednesday to complete the operation with Atletico Madrid and the Spanish striker’s agents, then the Tammy Abraham situation will be analysed.

Roma offered Abraham to Milan because they are aware of Fonseca’s appreciation for the qualities of the English centre-forward. If the two clubs were to find a meeting point on his value and any counterparts (Alexis Saelemaekers the discussed name), things could move along.

Tammy’s wish to join Milan could be satisfied and it would also change Jovic’s fate. The Serbia’s future with the Rossoneri is in the balance despite the clause for the annual renewal having been exercised only a few weeks ago.

Milan are thinking about what could be the new attack for next season. The basic idea would be to pair Abraham with Morata or at least a striker with those characteristics: physically strong and in the air so as to provide tactical alternatives to Fonseca.

The one to ‘pay the price’ – if this scenario were to materialise – would be Jovic because the former Real Madrid man would have his playing time drastically reduced. Not only that, but enquiries from Zenit and clubs in the Saudi League have arrived, and Milan could make a pure gain.

  1. Why sign an injury prone donkey like abraham when we already have 3 Strikers at the club. This would just delay Camardas development. This ownership is utterly hopeless

    1. First of all you should be more careful with your words, secondly Tammy is lightyears better than Jovic in every aspect of the game.
      Hope it happens…

      1. You should also say that to some of the people on this site who have islamophobe and Oliver seems like he doesnt care

          1. Who said I was talking about Tammy? I was talking about some people here who said terrorist when talking about Arab league but they dont even get a warning from the admin smh

    2. Camarda is really talented but he is still 16 y.o.

He needs to mature, grow some muscle, and regular playing time at Serie C for 1 or 2 years before considered as main deputy striker at Milan first team.

Don’t compare with Yamal, Foden, Mainoo etc. They are not single striker. A single striker will need to battle with 2-3 CD, Defensive mid, and GK… it’s a hard position to be as a young lad. Let him grow naturally, don’t rush.

      1. This

Some positions like winger and AM don’t require strength and size.

ST and CB absolutely do. As a ST you will be marked and abused by 25 yr old giants in their prime.

So comparing Yamal and Kamarda seems apple’s and orange’s to me. Kamarda needs to learn the physical part of the game and he will have a big enough target on him I Serie C.

  2. Rumor has it Fonseca is personally asking for Tammy. I would love to know why because I’m not feeling this move in the least…

    1. Tammy is supposed to be very close friends with Tomori from their time in Chelsea.
It seems the player wants it to happen.

  3. Option with loan to buy. This will cool some of the complainers on here.

As far as Camarda, he has a really long way to go. Our Serie C Team may be able to help that so he develops.

  4. Out of all the strikers linked with Milan Morata and Abraham are far and far from being my selected two but that’s ok. The issue however is how will you need 3 strikers when there’s also Okafor??! They say they’re getting more strikers because there’ll be funds left after Morata. Really you’ll keep buying strikers as long as budget for striker is still not finished? How dumb.Cant you add the funds to another departments? Or if Fonseca is so crazy about Abraham ,why not just get Abraham then?. Well no team have 3 well paid senior strikers for one spot in their starting lineup. Jovic and Okafor both did well enough to be trusted with covering for the main striker. Now unless the club don’t want them anymore ,adding more bodies than last season in attack when the two were already struggling for minutes is only going to further lower their contributions motivations and growth. Don’t like the idea of Abraham and Morata but I’m ok with getting just one or Fulkrug or any one striker the club may like. Getting additional 2 strikers will be a waste of money and space or creating an unnecessary space.

  5. Hopefully Abraham is just a rumor. I really do not know the specifics, but Milan is so disrespectful to Jovic. He has done well last season given how horrible his playing minutes were managed, and is also in his prime. Milan is making him lose year in his prime, instead of using and developing him to play next 3-4 years.
