CM: Juventus leading race for PSG’s Icardi with Milan put off for two reasons

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not currently interested in signing Mauro Icardi from Paris Saint-Germain amid uncertainty over his future, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes how Icardi is not having the best of times on and off the field and that is why he could leave PSG in the winter transfer window. Giuffrida – the intermediary who worked together with Wanda Nara and her agents to bring Icardi to Paris – has in recent days has also opened the door to a return to Italy.

“This year the two years since the player went abroad will run, the clubs that want to take him will be able to benefit from the Growth Decree; and in a historical moment like this I think he can be useful,” he said.

Juventus have been in the front row for some time and are looking for a striker like him, while the chances of a return to Inter are almost zero given his relationship with the Nerazzurri is broken and irreparable.

For Milan, the Argentine is not considered a suitable profile both because of the costs of the operation and because he is not the kind of profile that is a good fit for the project. Even Roma and Naples do not seem interested in the investment today, so it will be Juve or potentially the Premier League.
