CM: Juventus set to beat Milan, Dortmund and Roma to striker – the background

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to miss out on the signing of Tommaso Mancini as the Vicenza striker has chosen to join Juventus, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Mancini has chosen to join Juve this summer, with the 18-year-old having removed all doubts by declaring his intention to move to the Old Lady.

Milan were the first to move for Mancini and had reached a total agreement with Vicenza on the basis of €2m fixed with around €500k in potential bonuses.

However, when it came to negotiating personal terms, the request made by the boy’s father was deemed too high by the Rossoneri management.

Now Juventus have a clear path to reach the finish line, with Roma and Borussia Dortmund still interested but lagging behind. At the moment there is no agreement between Juve and Vicenza and a decisive summit is already scheduled for this week to try and close the deal.

  1. He’s young and he’s Italian so as fellow countryman I wish him all the success in the world but I really don’t think this kid and his family are thinking of whats best for him. Sounds like it’s a cash grab. If all your after is the highest pay pack on offer, especially at his young age, then your being badly advised. He would have been better of at Milan or Roma in my opinion. He would have a better chance of developing at these 2 not Juve. When was the last time they fielded young, unheard of talent? Allegri will ruin him.

      1. Well… Let’s be real. Juve will loan him out immediately and eventually sell him without ever giving him a proper chance. But at least the kid’s parents are happy. For a while.

  2. No brains, his family and him are just thinking about money at his young age. I am glad he doesn’t join us, he thinks he’s already a top player. Raiola mentality.
