CM: Kjaer’s future could be different than first planned – he may stay at Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are becoming more and more likely to purchase centre-back Simon Kjaer on a permanent basis this summer, according to a report.

The Danish defender joined Milan last month on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, having cut short his loan spell with Atalanta in order to move to the San Siro from Sevilla.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kjaer’s purchase was one that was initially only meant cover the departure of Mattia Caldara, who moved back to Atalanta on loan for 18 months with an option to buy.

However, the outlet adds that Kjaer is convincing the technical staff more and more and his future may be different than intended. It cannot be excluded that Milan will exercise their option to buy from Sevilla, they claim.

Kjaer has made four appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri already due to Mateo Musacchio’s struggles with injury.
