CM: Lecce left-back targeted by Liverpool could be an option for Milan

By Isak Möller -

Although the January window has just come to an end, AC Milan are already making plans for the summer and investments are expected in all departments. According to a report, the Rossoneri could target one of Lecce’s promising youngsters.

The defensive department is one of the priorities for Milan, there is no doubt, but more so the centre rather than the flanks. Quite a few left-backs have been linked with the club, though, as the Rossoneri currently have no proper deputy for Theo Hernandez.

According to Calciomercato.com, Lecce’s youngster Patrick Dorgu could be an idea for Milan in the summer. The yellow and red side, however, are hoping to cash in a decent amount as Liverpool and Atletico Madrid have enquired about the Danish international.

Dorgu impressed in the 2-2 draw between Milan and Lecce last year, surely catching the attention of the Rossoneri amazement. However, it appears Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada do not intend to spend €20m on a left-back, which is the price tag that Lecce have slapped on the 19-year-old.

Instead, a concrete target for Milan could be the Alaves left-back Javi Lopez, who will have just one year left of his contract in the summer. He would be significantly cheaper, in other words.

  1. We have Bartesaghi and we have Terraciano, why look elsewhere ?? Even if we sell Theo, we shouldn’t be looking at these suggestions….better off Antonino Gallo from Lecce, if we insist on buying a left back.
