Premier League high-flyers Leicester City remain interested in the idea of signing AC Milan winger Hakan Calhanolgu, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira actually claimed back in December that Leicester have indeed made enquiries over the former Leverkusen man.
Calciomercato.com added that Calhanoglu’s departure in January is a possibility despite the fact he has been a starter for the most part under Stefano Pioli, with an asking price of €20million set.
According to the latest from the same outlet, Leicester are ‘always on’ the tail of the Turkey international. The transfer outlet claims that the Foxes are ‘closely monitoring’ his situation.
Although plagued by inconsistency, Calhanoglu has amassed five goals and one assists in 21 games in all competitions for Milan this season and has essentially nailed down a starting berth on the left side of the midfield.
It has also been claimed that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is interested in the idea of signing the former Leverkusen man, while Tuttosport credited Manchester United with interest.
