CM: Maldini and Massara besotted by Bundesliga defender – January bid expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on the potential signing of Ozan Kabak from Schalke 04, according to a report.

Milan were linked with moves for a number of defensive targets during the summer transfer window but one of the names that emerged late and was a theme of deadline day was Ozan Kabak of Schalke.

In the end the Rossoneri management were not able to unlock a deal with the Bundesliga club and sign Kabak, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) the contacts of Maldini and Massara could have sown the ground for the business to come.

An intermediary who was involved in the negotiations revealed his belief earlier in the week that the hopes of Kabak joining Milan are far from over, and Calciomercato.com believe the same thing.

They report that Milan will make a new attempt for the 20-year-old in January. Director Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are big admirers of the Turkey international and as a result will try their luck in the winter.
