CM: Maldini and Massara decide to evaluate offers for Saelemaekers – the price set

AC Milan have decided to listen to offers for Alexis Saelemaekers and have set the asking price for his potential departure, a report claims.

After two and a half years, Calciomercato.com report that Saelemaekers’ time at Milan could come to an end as the winger is one of the players that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara consider to be transferable in case of a good offer.

The Belgian was virtually always available to head coach Stefano Pioli during the Scudetto winning season, playing 46 games across all competitions, amassing 2 goals and 3 assists. The lack of attacking output has confirmed to the management that they need an upgrade in that department.

Since arriving, Saelemaekers has undergone a transformation from full-back to a winger, having become a starter under Pioli and then also breaking into the Belgian national team. He could now bring Milan a big capital gain, as he is worth double the €7m paid when factoring loan and transfer fee.

The report adds that his agent’s phone is destined to ring and Milan are waiting to evaluate offers, hoping to generate funds from a sale to reinvest in the attack.
