CM: Milan at the window as Rangnick is a keen admirer of 53-goal Netherlands star

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick would be interested in working with Lyon forward Memphis Depay at AC Milan, according to a report.

It was reported by TMW earlier in the week that Milan have made contacts and have probed the ground with the Ligue 1 side regarding a deal for Depay, and CEO Ivan Gazidis is ready to make an offer of €20million plus a percentage of future resale.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas provided hope for Milan earlier on Sunday as he failed to rule out the chance of Depay leaving, hinting it depends on whether they get into Europe or not based on their appeal.

According to Calciomercato.com, Depay is now evaluating his future, and the words of Aulas are indeed a warning that without Europe the Dutchman will say goodbye.

Aulas wants to avoid Depay reaching the natural expiry of the contract in 2021 without being able to cash in, and as a result Milan and Roma are waiting at the window.

For the Rossoneri, in particular, it is an option to consider for the Rangnick project, as the German is a big fan of the former Manchester United winger.

Depay has 53 goals and 43 assists for Lyon in 134 appearances since his move to France, as per Transfermarkt.
