AC Milan cannot be ruled out of the race to sign Lyon star Memphis Depay on a free transfer, according to a report.
As Calciomercato.com writes, the striker – who starred with a brace yesterday in the Netherlands’ 7-0 victory over Gibraltar – is an interesting market opportunity as he has a contract in June. He is concretely considering the possibility of leaving the French club to try a new professional experience and dreams of joining Barcelona and his mentor Ronald Koeman, but the Blaugrana have Sergio Aguero as their priority, who will leave Manchester City after ten seasons.
Juventus are looking for a fourth quality striker and are attracted by the possibility of signing the 27-year-old on a free transfer. Fabio Paratici has begun talks with his agents and is trying to find an agreement on salary and duration of the contract.
Milan meanwhile observe from a more secluded position as Memphis is a player who is very much admired by the management, but for now they are focused on the renewals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma. If in the coming weeks a crack opens, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will try.
