CM: Milan convinced by playmaker with €24m clause but Arsenal and Real Madrid are circling

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been monitoring Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai for some time and are considering a January move, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Szoboszlai is a player that very much appeals to the vision of the management, but now they have to deal with increasing competition.

In recent months several other clubs have got themselves involved in the race such as Arsenal, Inter and Real Madrid. All of them are attracted by the release clause present in the player’s contract of €24m.

The aforementioned clubs know that his release clause is a figure lower than Szoboszlai’s market value, which of course is similar to Erling Braut Haaland who moved to Borussia Dortmund for only €20million and now is worth at least four times that.

The purchase of Szoboszlai therefore would be a smart piece of business both from a financial point of view for Elliott and from a technical point of view for Pioli. The Rossoneri head coach, with Szoboszlai in his ranks, hopes to hit the target of returning to the Champions League or even a Scudetto fight.
