CM: Milan enquire about Barcelona man as Man Utd loanee struggles – deal possible at €15m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have learned the asking price for Barcelona defender Junior Firpo and are evaluating a potential move, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan transfer market does not stop after the official arrival of Meité from Torino and the imminent signing of free agent Mario Mandzukic, plus the agreement with Chelsea over defender Fikayo Tomori.

The Milan management are also looking for a deputy to Theo Hernandez on the left side of the defence, with the unconvincing performances from Diogo Dalot leading Maldini and Massara to make evaluations.

Among the names taken into consideration is that of Junior Firpo, and Milan carried out a concrete survey to ask about the availability of a player who has played just four LaLiga games this season despite the fact €18million was spent to sign him from Real Betis in the summer of 2019.

At the moment, there are no signs of openness on Barcelona’s end to a loan with option to buy deal, the formula proposed by Milan in recent days. Firpo’s valuation is currently around €20m, but at €15-16m the player could leave.

It is a track that for the moment does not take off, but it does show that the market is not yet finished and that the squad is not yet complete, the report concludes.
