CM: Milan expecting a new €8m bid from Spain for winger – useful liquidity could arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s hopes of being able to sell Samu Castillejo before the window shuts may not be over as Getafe have reignited interest, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com writes, Getafe’s pursuit of Castillejo seemed over after they bought Jakub Jankto from Sampdoria for €6m but the fact that Brighton will trigger the €18m release clause for Cucurella means that they will have to buy another winger and the choice could well be Castillejo.

Castillejo’s agent had been in the Spanish capital before August 15th and the player approved the idea of a move to Getafe, but they formulated a loan operation which was rejected, because Maldini and Massara only want a permanent sale or at least a guaranteed €8m via a loan with obligation.

Now that Cucurella seems headed for Brighton, sources from Spain are adamant a new €8m offer for Castillejo will be launch. Milan would sell at that amount and would also have the liquidity necessary to sign at least one forward or possibly two.
