AC Milan must overcome three big obstacles if they are to secure the signing of Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir, according to a report.
Not long after, Mundo Deportivo stated that the Rossoneri are not alone in their pursuit of the 26-year-old. That is because Atletico Madrid have also set their sights on Fekir as part of a double raid on Betis which includes attacking midfielder Sergio Canales too.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan face three major obstacles in their pursuit of Fekir. Firstly, the LaLiga side value the playmaker at over €40million, a fee that would be difficult for Milan to pay given the Financial Fair Play constraints they are working under.
The second difficulty is the competition from Atletico Madrid, and the third is the determination of Betis not to sell their prized assets despite a season in which it looks like they will not qualify for Europe.
The France international has seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances for Los Verdiblancos since his summer switch from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais.
