CM: Milan give defiant response as Everton make approach over signing Paolo Maldini’s son

By Oliver Fisher -

Everton are interested in trying their luck with a shock move for AC Milan starlet Daniel Maldini, according to a report.

Daniel Maldini became the third generation of his family to play for the Rossoneri during the 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona at the start of February, succeeding his father Paolo and grandfather Cesare.

The forward has nine goals and five assists in 15 games for Milan Primavera this season and has played a key part in helping Giunti’s side win promotion back to the top flight.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com though, Everton are looking to snatch Maldini Jr. away from his beloved club in the upcoming transfer window.

The outlet adds that Milan have told Everton in no uncertain terms that Maldini will not be allowed to leave any time soon as the 18-year-old appears ready to play an increasing role in the senior squad.
