CM: Milan have made their position on Paqueta clear as PSG’s interest fades away

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready and willing to sell Lucas Paqueta in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan have been left disappointed by the fact that virtually every young player in the current Milan squad has grown significantly since Pioli’s arrival except for Paqueta.

Therefore, the club’s goal is to sell the Brazilian in the upcoming window, but it will not be easy to find buyers and teams willing to meet Paquetá’s salary demands of €1.5m net per season.

Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica were both credited with interest in Paqueta during the January window but they have not followed up their interest.

Fiorentina are keen too, but at the moment the dialogues are in stand-by regarding a possible exchange involving centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.

Pending developments, Milan have set their asking price: at least €21.5million will be needed to avoid a loss, given that Paquetá signed until 31 July 2023. Faced with such an offer, the Rossoneri are ready to sell.
