CM: Milan hesitation could pave way for Arsenal in pursuit of €40m midfielder

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the transfer window, which has been delayed until September, AC Milan are scanning the market for targets. In fact, many changes are expected in the squad amid the imminent youth revolution.

According to Daniele Longo in his latest video for Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are interested in Espanyol’s Marc Roca, who will turn 24 in November. However, they aren’t alone, with Arsenal closely monitoring the midfielder.

Milan haven’t gone beyond a simple chat as it remains to be seen who will be the manager and sporting director for next season. By the looks of it, Ralf Rangnick will be the one but his arrival won’t be announced until the end of the season.

This phase of reflection could pave the way for Arsenal, who are hoping to close a deal at €25m despite the €40m release clause in Roca’s contract. This season, the Spaniard has made 24 league appearances, adding two goals and one assist to his name.
