CM: Milan hoping to close first summer signing – Rossoneri on pole to land 85-goal winger

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are progressing with trying to secure their first signing of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Through our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota, we revealed how Milan are monitoring Thauvin ahead of the summer window as a potential free transfer opportunity. He has 85 goals and 60 assists in 269 games for the Ligue 1 club, which means he is understandably attracting some interest.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan are planning to close the first signing for the summer sooner rather than later. The man that technical director Paolo Maldini is targeting is in fact Thauvin, and the 28-year-old has been identified as the ideal reinforcement for the right flank.

Not only that, but the report claims that the Rossoneri are ahead in the race for the Frenchman, with reports of competition from LaLiga side Sevilla and even Leicester City in the Premier League.
