CM: Milan hoping to wrap up signing of Chelsea defender for €28m in next 48 hours

AC Milan are hoping to find a solution regarding Fikayo Tomori’s future in the next couple of days, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes that Tomori – who had a fantastic 2021 on loan from Chelsea – is a player that the Rossoneri desperately want to keep and Milan hope to find a solution in the next 48 hours. Qualification for the 2021-22 edition of the Champions League has undoubtedly made things easier and accelerated the operation.

Last January, when the six-month loan deal was signed, the two clubs agreed on a €28m option to buy, and talks with Chelsea to try and get a small discount have not had any luck to date, but it has not made the management step back an inch, as they intend to buy him.

Tomori’s will to continue his Italian adventure too which certainly helps things and the next 48 hours will be the decisive ones for the Englishman’s future, while it is also anticipated that Milan will accelerate for Olivier Giroud too.
