AC Milan are looking to tie down star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and are willing to match his current salary to do so, a report claims.
It has been reported for months now how the Rossoneri face a crossroads regarding the future of their prized young goalkeeper, just as they did back in 2017.
With his deal set to run out Milan must either agree a renewal or sell him this summer, so as not to risk letting him leave for free in a year’s time, with Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea all linked by various outlets.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, the long awaited face to face meeting between Milan and agent Mino Raiola has not yet taken place, but soon the Rossoneri will have to speak to him and arrange the talks.
The outlet adds that the current idea is to keep Donnarumma’s current salary, perhaps by inserting performance-related bonuses in order to extend his deal until 2023.
