By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are refusing to give up on their number one target for the midfield in Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai, a report has confirmed.

Dominik Szoboszlai is without a doubt the name that continues to be strongest linked to Milan by various media outlets, especially given the probable arrival of Ralf Rangnick as the club’s new manager, a man who knows the player well from his time working for the Red Bull footballing empire.

Szoboszlai himself continues to tease fans on social media, as he recently liked a graphic regarding his potential transfer to Milan, and then his father did the same to intensify the speculation.

According to Calciomercato.com, Szoboszlai is wanted by Milan and Napoli but will cost around €25million as that is the release clause built into his contract.

The Rossoneri are in daily contacts over the deal and soon there will be developments, while Juventus have dropped out of the race for two reasons.

The first is that they do not consider him to be an immediate starter, and the second is that they believe €25m is too much considering counterparts or loan formulas cannot be used.
