CM: Milan in two-way race for versatile €10m forward – meeting at Casa Milan expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to meet with Crotone over Junior Messias but another team are on pole to land him, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how after an excellent season as a revelation in Serie A with Crotone last season – during which he scored nine goals – Junior Messias could soon return to play in the top flight. Torino have been following him for some time and Milan are monitoring him as an opportunity for the attack, given he can play as a No.10 and as a right winger.

Torino are currently ahead of Milan in the race to sign him and the Granata are due to have a meeting with the Calabrian club to try to close the deal. Crotone’s request for €10m is not low though and the Rossoneri remain in the background for the moment.

Messias is a profile that Maldini and Massara like, but for the moment the Diavolo have not presented any official offer to Crotone, though a meeting between the two clubs is expected to understand the dynamics of the operation.

  1. I actually prefer this guy to some of the names we’ve been linked. His stats from last year is truest impressive. He’s an interesting player.

I’m OK with him replacing Castillejo and then signing a quality attacking midfielder.
