AC Milan are one of three teams who are looking to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in January, according to a report.
The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Milenkovic throughout the summer window, but Calciomercato.com reported how Fiorentina did not want to offer any discounts on their €40m price tag to interested clubs, something which ended up stopping Milan’s pursuit dead in its tracks.
However, a number of outlets have since suggested that Milan’s pursuit is far from over and that they could return in a couple of months once the market reopens.
According to Calciomercato.com though, Milan may face competition to land the Serbia international once the window reopens in a couple of months, in particular from Spain and England.
The outlet adds that Manchester United are interested in Milenkovic to try and fix their defensive woes, while Atletico Madrid are also keen as they eye a potential title challenge.
