CM: Milan learn attacking target has €15m clause – decision to come in next few days

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have learned that one of their targets for the attack has an affordable release clause and they will soon make a decision on whether to activate it, a report claims.

According to, Alejo Veliz is a talent that is attracting a lot of interest in Italy given he scored three goals in four games at the U20 World Cup win Argentina and has 11 goals in 22 league games for Rosario Central this season.

Torino have already presented a first offer to Rosario but Milan are also very much interested. Chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio have been following him for months and are convinced by his quality and potential.

Veliz is an old-fashioned striker as he is very strong in the air, he moves well in the penalty area and works a lot for the team off the ball too. The plan of his agents is to work on a transfer to Europe immediately.

There is an important detail collected by Argentine sources close to the player: Veliz can leave Rosario Central with the payment of the release clause of €15m. Milan know this and in the coming days will decide whether to strike up a negotiation or not.

  1. Torino knew and did it earlier, but they can’t afford 15m? Guess we should make it quick deal before he signed with someone else 😀

  2. If he’s that good, get him. It’s better for us now, than paying so much for him later; or missing out because we can’t afford a hefty price tag in the future.

  3. This for me would be the cherry on the cake given the talent we have already brought in, after this we the club can let Pioli turn this into a cohesive group plying for one another, we have almost strengthened in all areas.

Time to give 1st team chances to Zeroli and Chaka.

Can’t wait for the season to begin, especially if Musah and Simgo are still incoming!!
