CM: Milan, Leicester and Leeds battling for De Ketelaere – a big 10 days awaits

By Oliver Fisher -

Charles De Ketelaere is unlikely to still be at Club Brugge next season and AC Milan are still interested, but they reportedly face competition from England.

Calciomercato.com report that De Ketelaere is enjoying a vacation with his girlfriend but he expects a call from his agent to understand where he will play next season, and there is a small chance of it being Club Brugge despite the fact his deal runs until 2024.

He hopes to know before 4 July, when he would otherwise have to report for Club Brugge’s preseason training camp in Wageningen. Two weeks later on 17 July, the Belgian Super Cup against Gent is scheduled, one week before the start of the season.

De Ketelaere is grateful to Brugge but he wants to leave in order to join a bigger club. Leicester City and Leeds have made offers to him with the latter chasing the heir to Raphinha, but he wants to play the Champions League, which is why he is keeping Milan open as an option.

Maldini and Massara have already spoken with the Belgian club, who started with an initial request of €35-40m, but there is room for negotiation and there could be significant news in the coming days.
