CM: Milan likely to be without key forward for Celtic trip but return for Roma is possible

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are unlikely to have Ante Rebic fit for Thursday’s game against Celtic, but they are hoping for positive news regarding the next Serie A game against Roma.

Rebic had another meeting with the club’s medical staff last Thursday and it was decided not to rush the recovery time and to continue the conservative therapy, so as not to worsen the injury, meaning he missed the derby against Inter.

A new exam is expected in the middle of this week to understand when Rebic will be able to return to action, but Calciomercato.com also think that he will miss the game against Celtic.

They add that on either Tuesday or Wednesday there will be a new medical check-up and it is hoped that there will be positive news, even if the Croatian is unlikely to be available for Thursday’s match in Glasgow.

Pioli hopes that Rebic will have the green light to return for Milan-Roma next Monday night.
