CM: Milan likely to make at least three signings in January – the budget and the primary target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to make at least three signings during the January transfer with one area in particular being focused on, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month how Milan have a remaining €15m worth of budget from the summer window that was not spent as their pursuits of Kabak, Simakan and Fofana all failed.

That figure will be available to be invested in the winter market, but there are three players who could also pack their bags and leave in order to significantly boost the transfer kitty to over €40m, including Andrea Conti, Leo Duarte and Samu Castillejo.

Around €7.5m is the cost of Conti at the moment while for Duarte the figure would be €7m, and for Castillejo €15m could be enough.

According to the latest update from the same source, there are ‘few doubts’ that ‘Milan will make at least three purchases in the market’.

The budget will not be extraordinary due to the crisis caused by the pandemic, but a large part of it will be devoted to the search for a strong, ready and talented central defender.
