AC Milan have decided that they will not allow Rafael Leao to depart the club this summer despite some of the speculation suggesting otherwise.
That is according to Calciomercato.com, who note that the Rossoneri have decided to give Leao another chance to prove himself next season after what has been a turbulent first campaign since joining from Lille last summer.
The club are willing to stick by their investment into the new season and are tipping head coach Stefano Pioli to get the best out of him.
It was recently reported by Calciomercato.it that the confirmation of Pioli as the boss could be bad news for Leao, who may be allowed to leave if the right offer arrives given he has played a bit-part role despite glimpses of his ability.
Leao has scored five times in the league this season so far including three goals since the resumption of Serie A.
