CM: Milan ditch Miranda and aim to secure €7m deal for full-back quickly

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are moving forward in their pursuit of Filippo Terracciano and they hope to get the deal closed as quickly as possible, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are ‘advancing decisively’ on Terracciano because the management really like the 20-year-old defender and have every intention of closing the operation.

The dialogue with Verona is constant and positive, while the fee eventually paid is likely to be higher than the €5m expected at the beginning of the negotiations because there is great interest in the talent from other Italian clubs such as Fiorentina and Juventus.

With bonuses it could end up around €7m but Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio aim to get the best possible terms to secure a player with a lot of versatility and a very bright future.

In addition to that, the report adds that Juan Miranda is no longer a target for Milan despite reports suggesting it was close to done. The contacts stopped several weeks ago because the club are evaluating other younger profiles with lower costs on wages and commissions.

Terracciano is also attractive because of the fact that he can play a number of positions from right-back and left-back to wing-back on both sides, central midfield and even centre-back thanks to his size.

      1. Atalanta just told Man Utd and Real Madrid they’d have to pay 60m+ for Scavini, probably 70m+ with bonuses.

There is no way Milan have that kind of cash and if they did, it will be used for a starting forward to replace Giroud when he leaves.

In addition, there is no way we could match the salary given by any of the top clubs, much less Manu or Madrid.

  1. and tuttosport reports Milan have abandoned the pursuit of Terracciano due to Simić and Jimenez performances.

Let’s see, hope it goes through.

  2. We still need 2nd LB tho so.. unless Jimenez will be signed from real Madrid even though the backlash is they have good buy back clause so yh even if we sign Jimenez we would still need 2nd LB
