CM: Milan optimistic about beating PSG and Arsenal to Salzburg star – €32m package ready

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are intensifying contacts with Red Bull Salzburg regarding a deal for Dominik Szoboszlai, according to a report.

It is no secret that Szoboszlai is a priority target for the Rossoneri and for incoming boss Ralf Rangnick, and Calciomercato.com are reporting that contacts between the parties are continuing, with a cautious optimism filtering from Milan’s side regarding the deal.

A five-year, €1.4million contract plus bonuses is ready for the Hungarian talent (€7m total) and Rangnick, who has an excellent relationship with both Dominik and his agent, is convinced by the idea of bringing his pupil to the Rossoneri.

The player is fully open to joining Milan but it still requires a total agreement both with Salzburg and with the representatives of the Hungarian international.

A definitive decision will probably be made later this month, with Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal also keen, while Napoli have not gone beyond contact with his agent Esterhazy.

Szoboszlai has a €25m release clause, which means Milan could secure his services for the next five years for a package of €32m.
