AC Milan have a plan for the future of Primavera star Daniel Maldini, according to the latest reports.
He is of course the latest instalment in the long line of the Maldini family, which includes his father Paolo and Paolo’s father Cesare.
Daniel was one of 29 players called up to the senior squad for preseason, and impressed against Bayern Munich in his first team debut in the International Champions Cup.
He scored eight goals for the Primavera side in 2018-19 too, and was one of the few bright spots as the team suffered relegation to the second flight.
According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan rejected a number of offers for the 17-year-old over the summer, including from Crotone, Pescara and Spezia.
However they were all told immediately that the plan for Daniel is to let him train with the first team for as long as possible, which they managed to achieve over the summer.
Now is phase two of the plan for Maldini Junior: to work on the renewal of his contract and to make sure that the dynasty at the club continues.
