CM: Milan hold positive talks over Udinese star – commissions not a problem

By Oliver Fisher -

Lazar Samardzic remains a target for AC Milan and there have been positive contacts over the past couple of days regarding the operation, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are conducting the Samardzic negotiations in parallel with the ones with Monaco for Youssouf Fofana, for whom news is expected in the next 48 hours. In other words, the club want both players.

The latest update is that a constructive discussion has taken place between Milan and Samardzic’s father-agent, whose financial requests saw moves to Inter and then to Napoli both collapse in the last 12 months

According to Sportitalia, the commission request sent to Milan by the midfielder’s father Mladen is less than €5m, the limit set by the Rossoneri management. The first obstacle has been overcome, now an agreement must be found with Udinese.

Milan put forward €15m for the Serbia international, a proposal that was not considered sufficient by the Pozzo family who want €25m, but the door remains open. They are available to negotiate, to find a solution that can satisfy everyone.

They know that Samardzic considers his adventure in Udine to be over and that he only wants Milan. It is no coincidence that he preferred not to entertain the strong interest from Lazio that has also arrived in recent weeks.

The operation could end up with a counterpart to lower the financial outlay, but at the moment there is no agreement. The Rossoneri have said no to including Kevin Zeroli or Lorenzo Colombo, while Tommaso Pobega does not particularly excite Udinese.

Another path could lead Milan granting a percentage on the future resale to Udinese. The parties are working, and there could be news before the team leaves for the tour in the United States, scheduled for Thursday.

  1. I hope this guy replaces loftus cheek. Loftus honestly strikes me as a guy who shows no grinta hes not the guy i want vs inter. And wtf was he doing with travis Scott

    1. In case you hadn’t noticed, no one showed Grinta VS Inter because we were collectively outplayed and had no idea what we were doing on the field under Pioli’s derby disaster class. Singling out RLC isn’t exactly fair here.

  2. After years of scrapping, it’s good to see Milan taking shape. More enthusiasm from the fans too, and more attendances at games. Even preseason games are drawing a lot of fans from all over. Lazar is a good addition, so also Fofana, Pavlovic, Fullkrug. Can’t wait for the season to start.

Now let the “OMG!!! HOW EMBARRASSING LOWBALLING OFFER ONCE AGAIN!!!” cries begin. Who’s first?

    1. commission not a problem…. this time the fee will be the problem. hahaha i understand haggling but i feel we are soo slow.

  4. Wasn’t it the same course with iNter last season? All set with medicals underway then his father tried to change the commissions?

I’ll believe this is done when it’s official.
