CM: Milan Primavera suffer terrible start to the season as Giunti’s fate seems nailed on

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s Primavera side continue to struggle and it seems Federico Giunti’s days as the head coach are very much numbered, a report claims.

Today’s 3-1 defeat in the Youth League against Porto means that Milan’s U23s are not just bottom of the group, but it brings their run of winless games to eight across all competitions to start the season, as they have also not registered a victory in five league games.

Calciomercato.com writes that the team are lacking somewhat in quality compared to the likes of Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Porto and the other established top academies, but they also seem to be disjointed, playing without ideas and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities also lie with the head coach Federico Giunti, and a response is urgently needed. The coach is expected to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires, but a run of bad results could surely accelerate the process.
