CM: Milan ready for talks with Real Madrid over €25m playmaker – the plan devised

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are planning fresh talks with Real Madrid to try and make progress on the future of Brahim Diaz, according to a report.

The playmaker arrived from Real Madrid in the summer on a season-long dry loan and he has impressed so far, racking up three goals and one assist in 10 appearances across Serie A and the Europe League, leading to suggestions Milan will try and keep him beyond his loan.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri management intend to have new contacts with Real Madrid in the next few days and will try to reach an agreement.

The idea that is gaining momentum at the moment is to try and renew his loan for a further year, adding an option to buy into the deal and a buy-back at a higher figure in favour of Real Madrid.

The will of the player will be key in all of this as he will be the one who decides, and to date he does not seem willing to say goodbye to the Spanish giants for good.

However, he wants guarantees from Zidane regarding playing time, assurances which he may not be able to offer while Milan can. The option to buy figure should be €25m, the report concludes.
