CM: Milan remain interested in €15m creative midfielder as two factors favour a deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still interested in Romain Faivre and the words of the Brest midfielder appear to have very much left the door open.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri pushed hard to sign Faivre in the summer window but Brest stood firm on their €15m demands. The action that probably caused the collapse of the deal was his decision not to respond to the call-up for the game against Strasbourg.

Nonetheless, Milan remain on the trail of the 23-year-old Frenchman in view of the upcoming transfer windows, to add further quality in a department that has been tweaked with the last minute arrival of Junior Messias.

Not only that, but they may have a couple of factors on their side. The first is that the Ligue 1 side are not in optimal economic situation and their demands for Faivre could drop in time.

Secondly, Faivre himself admitted that he is working towards receiving offers in the future, as he told Telefoot: “I am a bit sorry about how things went, but now I look forward. I remain positive and I will get back to work to receive more offers.”
