AC Milan are always looking ahead and they are monitoring potential opportunities ahead of the 2023 summer mercato, including an Aston Villa midfielder.
The Rossoneri looked to bolster the midfield ranks during the window that has just closed after the exit of Franck Kessie and they managed to do so by landing Aster Vranckx from Wolfsburg, but he joined on a loan with option to buy so will have to prove he is worth his place.
Calciomercato.com report that Milan have not stopped monitoring the midfield market and among the names followed in the summer was Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, but the interest of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara has not ceased.
The Brazilian could represent a free transfer deal in the future because his current contract is due to expire in 2023 and he is not expected to renew, which thus would allow Milan to probe the ground over his possible arrival on a free.
AC Milan je moj zivot
No he couldn’t. We couldn’t afford him. I wonder how many times you’ll run this same article this year.
Seems the media run out of story. 😴
I wonder how many times simple and ordinary fans will make definitive and categorical statements about matters that they cannot fully understand, such as, for example, the finances of a football club.
BTW: I’m also a simple and ordinary fan, obviously, and that’s why I don’t dare to say ‘in limine’ that Milan will never be able or not to sign this or that player.
It does seem unlikely.
Arsenal just made 3 separate offers for him and Aston Villa turned them all down. He’s clearly in high demand and so even though the transfer fee part would be “free” he clearly will demand a large salary and will have many wealthy Premier Club suitors.
