CM: Milan scouts to watch midfielder labelled ‘new Modric’ – Dortmund and Leeds also keen

AC Milan are one of a number of European clubs keeping an eye on Dinamo Zagreb sensation Lovro Majer, according to a report.

Since Elliott Management took control of the club and implemented their own figures in charge, the Rossoneri have largely deployed a youth-led recruitment policy devised around signing young talent and developing them into top players.

According to Calciomercato.com, Lovro Majer could be the next player that the club choose to focus on. Majer is one of the most highly-rated talents in Croatian football and is described as a modern midfielder who likes to be combative but also chip in with goals and assists.

That is why at home he is compared to none other than Luka Modric, one of the best players in Croatia’s history and a recent Ballon d’Or winner.

Several others clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina, Leeds, Valencia and Sevilla have asked for information on the 22-year-old.

He is currently under contract with Dinamo Zagreb until 2023 but is ready new challenge in a more competitive league, therefore he could move on in the winter window.

Milan club scouts will watch Dinamo vs. Feyenoord in the Europa League tonight with great attention, the report concludes.
