CM: Milan serious about winning Tonali race – Brescia may get pick of three counterparts

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are serious about winning the race to land Sandro Tonali and are ready to make an offer in order to do so, a report claims.

There has been speculation from numerous outlets throughout the week suggesting that the Rossoneri are ready to make their move for Tonali and try snatch him from Brescia.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are firmly in the race to land the 19-year-old along with Juventus and Inter, as Elliott Management believe he is a talented young player with an incredibly bright future who could be a cornerstone of their youth project.

In a recent interview, Tonali confirmed his allegiance: “Yes, I support Milan. And Gennaro Gattuso was my idol.”

The Rossoneri, then, begin to study the possibilities. The request of €50million made by Brescia president Massimo Cellino until a few weeks ago could be reduced after the Coronavirus crisis.

There are also three players who could be included in the negotiation as a counterpart. Centre-back Matteo Gabbia could be offered – especially if Milan sign another defender – while goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari could go the other way.

Tommaso Pobega has made great strides with Pordenone in Serie B and is apparently attracting interest from Serie A side, so he could be thrown into the mix too. Either way, Milan are serious.
