CM: Milan, Spurs and Dortmund all interested in Lille star – he could arrive for just €12m

The delicate situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract renewal has pushed Maldini and Massara to look around for replacements, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes that the directors do not want to be caught unprepared in the event that the 22-year-old leaves the club this summer, and they have picked the number one target to possibly replace him in Lille’s Mike Maignan.

Maignan is a formidable penalty saver having stopped 8 of 27 attempts from 12 yards in the league – a percentage just under 30%. His performances have attracted from top clubs such as Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund as well as the Rossoneri, due to his contract situation too.

His deal with Lille is due to expire in 2022 and the market valuation is inevitably affected, meaning he could well be available for a figure in the region of €12-13m. A real opportunity that Milan are also considering for the future, depending on the fate of Donnarumma of course.
