AC Milan winger Ante Rebic is about to enter a potentially defining point in his Rossoneri career so far, a report claims, as discussions over his future continue.
Calciomercato.com notes how Rebic has become the club’s outright top scorer this season with seven goals in all competitions this calendar year alone. However, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival he really struggled due to a combination of injuries and tactical misunderstandings.
Now attention turns to how the 26-year-old will cope without the Swedish target man ahead of him, and he will be the focal point for goals as the club look to finally conquer the attacking deficiencies which plagued them before Ibra’s arrival.
Milan are still in constant talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over the future of Rebic as well as that of Andre Silva. The Rossoneri hierarchy want to buy the ex-Fiorentina wide man permanently, but there is no hurry and his current valuation is €25million.
Milan are stalling to try to lower the price and save a little, while now it will be up to the player to prove he is worth a large investment.
