CM: Milan strongly believe in Hauge despite Europa League exclusion – two January offers rejected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan firmly believe in the potential of Jens Petter Hauge and even rejected two offers for him in January, according to a report.

Hauge has shown he has great talent and is the club’s top scorer in the Europa League but has only ever played as a left winger so far, where Pioli has players like Rebic, Leao, Diaz, Saelemaekers and Mandzukic who can occupy this position.

The Rossoneri saw their List A slots available reduced from 23 to 22, hence the choice of Stefano Pioli to leave Hauge out of his squad for the knockout stages, to allow the inclusion of the three new signings Tomori, Meité and Mandzukic.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan – despite his exclusion from the squad list – believe in the quality of Hauge, so much so that in January they did not even remotely consider the idea of him leaving despite loan bids from Stuttgart and Southampton. Pioli, in agreement with the management, preferred to keep the Norwegian.

  1. You ruin the poor guy. Let him play, let him show his entusiasm. He is way better than most in left flank and i believe he can be more lethal in a more central position.. maybe even as a striker. He plays with both feet with ease, he has excelent first touch, he rarely lose the ball and when he does, he allways come to help the team in defensive phase. Pioli with his stupid tactics got him out of form, he had two poor games and from there .. chaos
