AC Milan have identified another LaLiga defender as an alternative to Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo, according to a report.
It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a centre-back this month, with Todibo seemingly the primary target, however a deal for the Frenchman looks less and less likely to happen.
Sky Italia reported on Tuesday that the operation surrounding Todibo is becoming increasingly complicated, causing Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban to focus on other targets.
According to Calciomercato.com Todibo is still the main objective, but an opportunity has presented itself regarding a possible alternative to the 20-year-old.
The outlet claims that Sevilla-owned defender Simon Kjaer has become a potential option for the Rossoneri, as the Denmark international has not found much space under Gian Piero Gasperini and could terminate his loan at Atalanta early.
It is possible that talks with the Bergamo side could involve Mattia Caldara – a player that La Dea are determined to bring back in January.
However, it will not be easy to make ends meet given the high valuation of the Italian defender, but the clubs are considering the possibility of an exchange.
