AC Milan team manager Andrea Romeo is destined to follow Sandro Tonali’s lead and move to Newcastle United this summer, a report claims.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Romeo has been in his role as team manager at Milan since 2017 which means that he really is a part of the furniture at the club.
Before moving into a backroom role in football, Romeo was a Serie B and Serie A referee, taking charge of 94 top-flight games.
This move has not come out of nowhere, given he was absent from Milan’s tour of the United States of America. His responsibilities were taken on by Giuseppe Coviello, who is the commercial player liaison.
It is not a situation that is likely to have any effect on Milan when it comes to the pitch, but with a lot of change taking place at the club already in the past few months, Milan will want limited other departures.
Ch-ch-ch-changes…
Still don’t know what I was waitin’ for
And my time was runnin’ wild
A million dead end streets and
Every time I thought I’d got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I’ve never caught a glimpse
How the others must see the faker
I’m much too fast to take that test….
