CM: Milan to sign Messias permanently with a discount but Monza are pressing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made the decision to sign Junior Messias on a permanent deal and have secured a discount from Crotone, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Messias will become a permanent Milan player and confirmation is now one step away as the Rossoneri management are now resolving the final details with Crotone over the purchase of the Brazilian forward.

Messias arrived last summer on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy set at €5.5m but it seems Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been able to negotiate that downwards, perhaps because of Crotone’s relegation to Serie C.

Milan will pay between €3.8-4m to sign the 31-year-old and turn his loan move into a permanent deal, but it might not necessarily be a permanent stay as decisions must be made on his future, considering the constant pressure of Monza to sign him. Thus, the hypothesis of selling him on for a profit cannot be excluded, as we reported over a week ago.
