CM: Milan watch €30m target as they aim to beat Arsenal, Man Utd to signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have their eyes on Juventus’ away clash against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, according to a report.

We reported back on November 28 that Milan are firmly in the market for a central defender after it was officially confirmed that Leo Duarte will be out until at least March.

An official club statement confirmed that that Duarte underwent an operation at the Alfredson Tendon Clinic in Umea to treat an achilles tendon issue, meaning he will miss up to four months.

Gianluca Di Marzio then confirmed to Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) that a centre-back is one of Milan’s mercato objectives, with concrete interest in Merih Demiral and Jean-Clair Todibo of Barcelona.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan have their attention on Bayer-Juve in the Champions League on Wednesday night as Maurizio Sarri has deployed Demiral as a starter.

Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones recently reported that the Rossoneri are not alone in their interest. Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United all also interested, with the Bianconeri asking for €30m to let him leave.
