AC Milan are currently working on securing the renewal of Davide Calabria and the requests of his entourage have emerged, a report claims.
Calabria has been one of the bright notes of the last 12 months for Milan. It seemed certain that the club would sign a new right-back to replace him last summer and that the academy product would be sold, but the 24-year-old put his troubles behind him from the 2019-20 season.
In the current campaign he has been nothing short of excellent, becoming an immovable member of the starting XI but for a recent knee problem that required minor surgery. He is expected back in a couple of weeks.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are working on the renewal of Calabria. The Rossoneri full-back currently receives just over €1m net per season under his current contract, which lasts until 2022. The target of his entourage is to reach €2.2m, thus doubling the salary of a player who is a product of the Milan youth sector.
